Gifts From Home, Inc. founded by Linda and Larry Kidwell is a newly formed 501C (3) non-profit organization in Spring Hill, Florida that sends gifts, prayers and support to our deployed troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. This is a family effort to show our appreciation for their sacrifices, dedication and service to our great country and to let them know that somebody out there does care. Visions of the Vietnam War and the way our troops were treated during that era is heartbreaking. Our main goal is to provide a massive show of support and enhance the morale and welfare by sending some comforts of home. This is only made possible with the public's generous support. At this time, donations are few and far between and we are unsure as to how many boxes we will be able to send in the future. We are in desperate need of items to be able to fill each box and money is needed to purchase items and to cover the cost of postage.
To date, we have sent close to 500 boxes since November, 2007. My goal is to hit over 1000 boxes by the new year!
